- 1-3 years of experience with Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Working knowledge of policies and procedures in a university setting, especially in the areas of accounting, purchasing and disbursements.
- Working knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.
- Experience utilizing KFS systems for purchasing and reimbursements transactions.
- Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, campus administrators, faculty, staff, students, and visitors of various ethnic, social and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to complete assignments and perform effectively and punctually in an environment with frequent interruptions, fluctuating workload and changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, patiently and diplomatically with a diverse level of people and backgrounds.
- Ability to handle all Business & Finance Office matters with tact, discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent skill in setting priorities to deliver high quality, professional and responsive service.
- Resourceful in locating and sharing appropriate information and/or solutions to problems.
- Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting and problem solving in non-standard, urgent, conflicting and/or unexpected circumstances.
- Excellent proofreading skills.
- Ability to maintain online files and filing systems.
- Ability to present information and train staff members in university policy
